Good On You is a digital “encyclopedia” focused on sustainable and ethical fashion brands. Their purpose is to rate brands to provide an approachable analysis to consumers on their working conditions, animal welfare and environmental impact. The goal of the app is to offer a transparent, complete, and trustful platform where we can evaluate what’s out there and do more conscious choices when it comes to shopping.

As customers, we know that buying real and honest products is a struggle, but it gets even more complicated when you have so many different options and no time to review everything in detail. Good On You makes our life easier, as they not only have a beautiful, intuitive and minimalistic web page (and app), but they are also constantly uploading great content about new projects like tips & guides about ethical bikini and denim brands, sustainable handbags and sneakers, cruelty free skincare products, and more.

Since 2015, they have been expanding their database, and now they have ratings for more than 2,500 brands (as of January 2019). They classify them as “We Avoid”, “Not Good Enough”, “It’s A Start”, “Good” and “Great”, which makes it very easy and fast for users to filter.

They collaborate with Fashion For Good, Fairtrade, Fashion Revolution and Four Paws to review and evaluate brand’s policies and practices on workers, forced labor, child labor, safety, and they investigate if a brand uses fur, angora, or any kind of animal skin. They also consider the resources that are used during production like waste, energy and carbon emissions.

This open platform has the mission to take the fashion industry to a more ethical and sustainable level, and the ultimate goal is to make loud and clear what’s going on behind all brand’s products. They are committed to contributing to the Goal number 12 of the United Nations Sustainable Development: “Ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns”.

"When a critical mass of users turns toward brands that avoid harm, we create a movement for change.”
