The Connected Beings.

Within the last few decades, probably after the arrival of the internet, many of us started primarily associating the term “connection” with our relationship to technology. Others would still define it first as that inexplicable bond or electric feeling of alignment you get only with certain people, places, or even art. But are the two ideas opposite? We think that at least today, they are more related than ever.

As we dig deeper, we found 10 amazing visual artists, designers, and creatives that, through the use of digital and new experimental disciplines, are shaping the limits of diverse realities and connecting with the audiences in a way that history has never seen before.

The exponential growth of technology has driven creatives — from artists and designers to scientists and sociologists — to act as early adopters of technology as their main ally of inspiration, research, and creation. In this fifth issue of We The Cool Magazine, you will explore the boundaries between art, fashion, and science, and the real and imaginary digital worlds. You will witness a sensory overload via immersive and synesthetic experiences.

We wanted to editorially recreate a real, yet virtual bubble that gathers the universes and identities of different people from around the world, starting from the concept of human connections to a better understanding of how we reinvent and represent ourselves in the age of the internet. The events of this year have played a crucial role in how new technologies have influenced human relations. That is why we are devoting this issue to some of the subjects that are reformulating the world in which we currently live. We invite our readers to rethink their current lifestyles and to discover new ways of perceiving beauty.
